When you remember all the things That you were planning on leaving And when you think about the time When you thought you were in your prime You know they're buried in the past Those memories are fading fast An opportunity to call A chance not to lose it all This will not wait until later What doesn't kill you makes you weaker Even if you feel diminished Your journey is not finished When your legs do not carry you And when you can't seem to get through Just sort those you get on your boat And trust them to keep you afloat This will not last any longer What doesn't kill you makes you weaker You still have time to take the best And not to care about the rest

Parallel 04:30
Did you come by my place late at Night and did you find my door closed Did you dare to call You didn't dare to call Usually we'd share a drink and We'd talk until the morning rose And that would be all Business as usual This time you were alone This time the alley was dark Just go back to your home Avoid the shadows in the park Maybe I was just asleep or Maybe I was not alone Maybe another day There'll be another day This time you were alone This time the alley was dark Just go back to your home Just avoid the shadows that dwell Inside the well Inside the core That I ignore That live in your cells We have lived our lives in parallel So long that when you're gone I'm still inside your hell No one else can tell This time you were alone This time the alley was dark Just go back to your home Just avoid the shadows that dwell Inside the well Inside the core That I ignore That I know too well

Well Done 03:57
Would you say you really did expect How it all would soon unfold It's not fair to judge in retrospect Those who didn't do as told Well done, you just did lie About what motivates Anything that you try It's all grounded in hate Despite what you would claim All your great arguments Barely disguise your thirst For making words all bent Their meanings made absurd If they just serve your aims Would you act as if anyone else Is as greedy as you are Not ashamed to be passing yourself Off as the real victim in this war Well done, there's no excuse For anything you did Reason is out of use In the land of stupid Right in front of our eyes My only hope is that People can see through you That they can tear apart The curtains that you drew To try and hide your lies

There are words that you cannot understand There are things that are well beyond your command Whether or not you're ready to admit That what makes you react doesn't really matter just one bit Oh tell me What makes you Mad at something so meaningless I need to find out What makes you See me as A threat to your self consciousness I need to find out It's so hard to believe someone could find In all this a danger to their peace of mind Or could it be the respect you demand Is precisely something that you can't seem to keep in your hand Oh tell me What turns you Against a thing so defenseless I need to find out What makes you See me as A threat to your self consciousness I need to find out What is it you see That makes you so angry Oh tell me What turns you So angry that you just cannot contain yourself I need to find out What makes you See me as A threat to your self consciousness I need to find out Why you are so scared Of something that's harmless

August 03:40
My body's a feast for your eyes Come and take a look Watch me get rid of my disguise The beatings that I took I made them mine, what can you do Take a look and come How do you like me with that hairdo Caught in a foursome I Don't Mind What you think of Who I have become They think I'm down for anyone I still have my rules Maybe I do look pretty dumb Is that forbidden too I have to trust who goes inside And know where they are from Am I allowed just to decide In whose spit I can drown You Scorn Me Your reasons are No better than mine My only fault Speaking out loud Answering taunts You won't Let me Breathe anymore You are so right You know the score You won't rest 'till I die Let's toss the bitch aside Don't let her decide

Final Phase 02:55
Watching a new dawn rising The sun a slightly different shade Casting shadows that you don't recognize It's the land of the living It's the country of the dead Where the songs we sing are all full of lies We have reached the final phase What's left to discover Nothing remains, nothing's changed There's no more forever And so what about you then You are the same after all Are you able to go out of your lair Will you walk throughout this land Or will you just trip and fall Crushed under the deadly weight of the air We have reached the final phase What's left to discover Nothing remains, nothing's changed There's no more forever

about

Zankerfeld Paris, France

Zankerfeld is my solo project, in which I write, play and sing mostly everything, though more people are being involved lately.

I used to be a member of Mond/green, The Skeletonz and Naphta.

In my spare time, I play guitar for Alex Le Play and for Olivier Rocabois.

I hope you will enjoy those songs as much as I enjoyed recording them.
