Let It Sink 04:20
Once you are ready to decide all That you will never do again Right at this time something’s gonna change You’ll have to remake all your plans You may wonder what’s the point to it all Why wouldn’t you just let it all fall It’s all the same anyway don’t you think After all why not just let it sink And if anybody tells you that Whatever works for them is fine Remember where they come from you’ll see It’s the other side of the line You may wonder what’s the point to it all Why wouldn’t you just let it all fall It’s all the same anyway don’t you think After all why not just let it sink
2.
Know what is expected of you Know what everyone has led you to want to do Always keep a smile on your face Always have a kind word in spite of the disgrace And the sickening way you are pushed back in your place You let me dictate the way you feel You let me make you bow down and kneel I make my special point Of being always bound to disappoint Wait for a sign that never comes You expect me to notice something that you have done Take care of others not yourself There will be no trophy gathering dust on your shelf Because none of this will matter to anyone else You let me dictate the way you feel You let me make you bow down and kneel I make my special point Of being always bound to disappoint Shut out the lights and you will see What you slave away in just doesn’t matter to me And you’ll never achieve whatever can set you free I never need what you keep on giving Realize it’s your reason for living You reach your breaking point When you’re always bound to disappoint

Every Day 04:07
Every day I feel I’m Torn apart Ground to dust Anyway Unable To do all That I must Everything That I loved Ain’t that good Anymore All that used To be so great has now become such a bore Nothing makes Any sense No one knows What it takes To make my Limbs grow back To take my Breath again Everything That I loved Ain’t that good Anymore All that used To be so great should not be such a bore
4.
The voice in the sky tells me I’m right If you can’t hear it, that’s not my plight It gives me something you cannot get The gift of not being a target If you’re not like me (Then you should be wrong) If you don’t agree (There’s no way you belong) Don’t be so surprised (Don’t think you’re clever) That no one’s on your side (You should know better) Nothing can beat the place I was born It gives me power, a tool for scorn It provides me with a family Where everyone thinks just like me If you don’t like it (There’s something wrong with you) If you don’t admit (You just don’t have a clue) Don’t be so surprised (Don’t think that you’re smart) That no one’s on your side (That you are left apart)
5.
Did you believe you were free? Your choice is not your choice No one will hear your voice If you let go of your leash You will deserve your lot What happens is your fault With boundaries unclear The list of your fears Is getting longer every year Stay pure at all cost What matters the most Is what we’ll make sure will get lost You belong You belong here Your flesh is not your property Bought and sold all the same Don’t even own your name What you experience Your meager defense There’s nothing that makes any sense For those who just hear A logic so clear That’s even enforced by your peers You belong You belong here You belong to us You belong to us You belong to us Look down in shame You belong to us Look down in shame You belong

Somewhere the alarm’s off Yet does it register? The data went straight to your guts This couldn’t be faster You don’t know what it’s like You don’t know what it’s like You don’t know what it’s like, do you? Now you run for your life Now you run for your life Now you run for your life, will you? No time to realize No time to realize No time to realize what it leads to You just don’t have the time You just don’t have the time You just don’t have the time to think it through And lights become a blur And faces disappear It’s over in a split of a second Not long enough to fear Now you know what it’s like Now you know what it’s like Now you know what it’s like, do you? Did you run for your life? Did you run for your life? Did you run for your life, did you? No time to realize No time to realize No time to realize what it leads to You just don’t have the time You just don’t have the time You just don’t have the time to think it through

about

Zankerfeld Paris, France

Zankerfeld is my solo project, in which I write, play and sing mostly everything, though more people are being involved lately.

I used to be a member of Mond/green, The Skeletonz and Naphta.

In my spare time, I play guitar for Alex Le Play and for Olivier Rocabois.

I hope you will enjoy those songs as much as I enjoyed recording them.
